Tim On Tap (Tim Greening) has been playing and singing for crowds since he was young. Growing up in the Foothills of the Adirondack Mountains he found inspiration in nature and the trees of northern New York. There he grew his love of playing under the instruction of master performers of the area like his mentor Howard Brinson and Tim Martuzas. Who gave him his first gig when he was only 15 years old, it was there that Tim learned how much joy playing music can bring to people. He went on to play with various groups, but during the George Bush JR years, he became known for his work in "The Beer Drinkers Society" a traveling musical comedy act. After some years he decided to take a break. That break would last for 12 years.
Tim found himself working at a non-profit rescue zoo in northern NY called Zoo New York in marketing and becoming best friends with a black bear named "Tess". The Zoo had no money for marketing, but Tim had an Idea. He changed his name and became "Tim From The Zoo" playing musical shows all over the north country spreading the good word of the zoo to all who would listen. But ultimately the Zoo would wind up laying off almost all of it's staff due to lack of funding. That would end the days of Tim From The Zoo.
After cutting his chops in New York and having no real reason to stay anymore he wound up moving on to Louisville Kentucky where he learned the unique picking styles of the Bluegrass state. Picking up the Mandolin along the way and adding to the show. Even getting to sit in on jams with the likes of Grammy award-winning fiddle player Michael Cleveland. Tim is now in Minnesota's Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul where he's planning on learning the Minnesota sound and keep growing.
